What is RSS and the System Trading Blog

Iím excited because Iíve just put up my first blog

While you’re checking it out, please feel free to ad your comments and any other suggestions you may have.

Oh!, and more importantly, remember to add my blog RSS feed to your reader using the one of the following links:

Not Sure What RSS IS?

Iíve been seeing these orange buttons  all over the Internet. I am sure youíve seen them too. Like you, at first I did not know what they were. So, I did a little research.

Itís ďthe next big thingĒ ó you can use it to get newsfeeds from CNN or BBC, as well as just about anything else, including news on the financial markets, stock prices, trading articles, etc.

Once you get started, itís like having your favorite parts of the Web come to you. The most exciting thing about this new technology is that there is no need to go out and check for updates.

Because the updates come to YOU!
It really is that easy!

RSS ” meaning “Really Simple Syndication,” is just a fancy way of saying that you can keep up-to-date with my MetaStock Formula , Ultimate Trading Systems and Trading Secrets Revealed websites without having to check the site every week to see “whatís new.”

Whenever I put up a brand new page or update an old one, from now on I will release it through my RSS feed.

But that is not All!
Thereís MORE!

  • Do you crave trading news that is new and is hard to find?
  • Do you ache for industry updates that will increase your profits quickly?
  • Are you sick and tired of reading the same old thing?
  • Do you desire the best of the best?
Then you donít want to miss any of my critical updates that will keep you ahead of the trading game Ö

Ö and that is what RSS is all about.

RSS is amazingggggggggggggg. If you canít tell, Iím completely addicted to it.

No e-mail. No spam. Itís so easy to subscribe and unsubscribe. If you get tired of me <SOB>, you just have to delete the feed. Itís awesome!

And once you start, youíll soon be tracking all your other favorite interests and news in the world.

How do you get started? Easy (now that I know, that is! ha! ha!).

The most popular way to read newsfeeds are through either Yahoo, Bloglines or Newsgator (note: you just need to sign up to one of these, not all of them). Instructions on how to subscribe to these three readers are listed below:

Do You Want Your Own RSS Feeder?

This option is best suited to Windows XP users.

If that’s you, the first thing you need to do is download a free RSS Reader. This is special software that reads the ďRSS feedsĒ from the largest news organizations right down to little old me ūüėČ

Here’s two I recommend:

Windows ó RssReader

Mac ó NetNewsWire

After you download this software, come back to this page.

The next step is to right-click (control-click for Mac users) on any orange RSS buttons or on any other blogs or news sources that interest you. Start by right-clicking on the orange button below.

Copy shortcut Then select “Copy Shortcut”, for Mac Copy “Link to Clipboard”, and paste that URL into your RSS Reader.

That’s it. It’s that easy!
